In Microsoft Dynamics GP 10, one of the new pieces of functionality that has been very popular is the concept of customizable Action Panes within the Lists area of GP. Lists allow you to sort, filter and view data based on your need at hand. You can then export results to Excel or using customizable Action Panes in GP, perform functions or tasks on single or multiple records. Further, because the Action Panes are completely customizable, you can add and remove buttons based on what you need to do.
I have taken some screenshots and posted them below in an attempt to illustrate some of this cool functionality. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out!

Lists are located on the upper left-hand side of any of the Area Pages.
GP comes with alot of lists, "out of the box". You are limited on what you can do to customize these. Notice the Action Pane at the top of the screen. This is designed much the same as the Ribbon you see in current versions of Microsoft Office Word, Excel and other products in the MS Office Suite. Different buttons on the ribbon are either greyed out or not, depending on whether or not that function is available.
You can apply filters and sort the data in a way that makes sense for you and then save the new list as your own, naming it what you choose.
Once you create your own list, then the list appears in the upper left-hand area of the Area Page with the rest of the lists and is much more customizable by you.
You can click on the list name and choose "Customize" from the drop-down list.
From here, you have many options of that you can do, including adding columns, customizing the Action Pane and deciding who can see this customized list. Above, we are looking at the details of the Action Pane. You can move buttons around, make them large or small, remove or add new buttons.
An example of some of the options you have when adding new buttons to the Action Pane.
I know I left alot out, but hopefully you see there is a lot of potential using Lists and Action Panes within Dynamics GP. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
