Dear Tammy,
Denise and I just returned from Convergence in New Orleans and in case you were not able to attend, we wanted to pass along some of the cool stuff we experienced.
What does the current economic climate mean for Microsoft, Gilchrist Scott and you? Not surprisingly, this was talked about a lot last week at Convergence. Microsoft has renewed their commitment to stay-the-course and continue to fund research and development into all of their Dynamics solutions, including GP. (Read more below to see some of what version 11 has in-store for you!) To Gilchrist Scott it means a continuing commitment to your success and discovering new ways to perfect our relationship with you, our valued customers. So, what does this economic climate mean to you? What type of company do you want to be when this economic uncertainty is over? Now is the time to think about that - make some changes so that when the market improves, you are ready to hit the ground running and move ahead of the competition!

Looking Toward the Future What's in store for future releases of Dynamics GP
Dynamics GP Product Updates: How would you like to be able to e-mail vendor invoices directly from within GP? Or how about print these invoices to Word instead of to a PDF, giving you more ability to edit them? Well, these are just two of the teasers we got about the next release of Dynamics GP, version 11, scheduled to be released Q2 2010. Until then, SP4 is scheduled to be released in July of 2009. See what is included in SP4...

Module Focus: Extender
Have you ever found yourself saying any of the following:
- I have run out of user defined fields
- I need my custom fields to be accessible where and when I need then
- We still capture data on notepads, in Microsoft Excel, Access and in CRM that should be in GP
- There is a unique part of our business that GP does not cater to
- I need to capture different data depending on the type of order I am processing
If so, Extender may be the module for you! There is some new functionality being offered as part of SP4, being released in July and as a result, pricing for this module is increasing in August. So if you are interested, let's look at that now, before the price increase!

Until next time.
