Collaboration is Power - New England Microsoft Dynamics GP User Group 2/23/10!

Monday, February 22nd, 2010

Someone once described TEAM as Together Everyone Achieves More.

This is a concept that will be tested and, most likely embraced, by the group of professionals coming together for the first ever NE Dynamics GP User Group being held at ecomaine on 2/23. In this time of cost cutting, do-more-with-less, everyone should consider collaboration as a way to learn, grow, and create efficiencies that traditionally were accomplished through expensive training programs and consulting engagements.

Great minds are coming together for the Dynamics GP User Group to talk about the new Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010 (Dynamics GP V11), Tips and Tricks, Roundtable discussion, and to create an agenda for future meetings that will result in achievements not found in traditional learning. Welcome to the new world of collaboration where we connect and work with others and benefit from the team approach!

Customizing Dynamics GP - Home Page Layout

Wednesday, August 12th, 2009

One of the best parts of Microsoft Dynamics GP is the ability customize the interface in a way that makes sense for you. As a rule, customizations are saved for each individual user and will persist everytime they log into Dynamics GP. That being the case, how good is this feature, if you don’t take advantage of it?!

This installment represents the first of a five part series addressing the customization options of Dynamics GP. Below is a summary of the other planned topics to be covered: (more…)

Microsoft Dynamics GP Upgrade Checklist

Monday, July 6th, 2009

Upgrading your core financial and business management software, like Microsoft Dynamics GP can be a daunting task, but if you are organized and the computers involved are in good working order, are current on Windows patches and service packs, it really isn’t bad. However, because this system is central to your business, you certainly want to put some planning into the process. We use a checklist for most everything we do and GP upgrades is no exception. Having a checklist can make a big difference. (more…)

ERP Software Implementations Gone Wrong: Part I

Thursday, July 2nd, 2009

- Maria Robinson

Organizations that decide to take that next step from Quickbooks, Peachtree, or other entry level accounting software system, typically do so with a confident understanding that it will take them to the next level in their business life cycle. They’ve outgrown the simple inventory systems, the modest job cost functionality, or the non-existent service dispatch software required to keep things running smoothly and ultimately, keep customers coming back time and time again. Dynamics GP Resources

Monday, February 9th, 2009

In our busy lives it is so easy to try to ‘tough it out’ on our own and sometimes spend too much wasted time spinning our wheels. For me, this can be a source of frustration. As I consider this, I wonder if our customers are feeling similar things. Perhaps something has been missed along the way. I wanted to share with you some of the different resources you benefit from being a customer of Gilchrist Scott, Ltd. and Microsoft Dynamics. (more…)
