Microsoft Dynamics GP Shortcuts

If you’ve been following my blog posts I’m sure you have been waiting anxiously for Part 3 of the ‘Customizing GP‘ series!  It’s the little things that can make our day-to-day tasks that much easier.  This post is about GP Shortcuts.  Shortcuts allow you to quickly open frequently used GP windows and other resources outside of GP while being logged into Microsoft Dynamics GP.

Shortcuts are displayed in the upper part of the navigation pane when your Home Page is displayed.   Shortcuts function just like the Quick Links on the Home Page.  One-click navigation to a GP window, a SmartList, a website, or an external program.  The setup is very similar as well. (more…)

Next Gen FRx Management Reporter Beta Program Announced

Microsoft has just announced the planned release of Management Reporter for Dynamics ERP for January 2010. Management Reporter is the next step in the upgrade path for FRx 6.7. The beta release will work with both GP versions 10 and “11″, although the final release will only work with “11″. Do you use FRx alot? Are you interested in a wizard driven solution? Let me start by saying that I am not typically in the practice of using my blogging space to promote products or services, but when I see a product which I believe can potentially save so much time and headache, I feel compelled to spread the word…

If you sell goods and services in multiple states, you know how critical it is to make sure the taxes are calculated and reported correctly.  Making mistakes costs money in a multitude of ways.  If you’re using Dynamics GP, you can stop creating Sales Tax Schedules and Details for every taxing authority in play.  You can even stop creating returns for all of those entities.  How?  (more…)
